    2013 WBC

Not sure how many people are into this but it starts tomorrow night.

I like watching as many games as I can.

Canada and the US don't start till later next week.

For people in Canada Sportsnet is showing alot of the games. Not just the Canadian games.

Is anyone else going to watch?

Lawrie has a strain in his side that will keep him out of the first two rounds. Big loss for Canada. Hope he's ready for the Blue Jays season opener.

Makes things really tough for Canada not having Lawrie or Martin.

I'll watch if it's one but probably won't be recording it.

7 out of the 9 hitters for Canada are lefty's. Could really use both Lawrie and Martin who both bat from the right side.

This Italy team Is pretty good.

Kind of wish Romero was pitching for Mexico at the WBC...would've loved to have seen one of the Canadian players throw a solid uppercut at him.

He is American but both his parents are from Mexico which would allow him to pitch for them. He said the other day on twitter that Mexico asked him to play for them but because of his season last year he wanted to stay in camp with the Blue Jays. Not sure why Phaneuf would say that though.

Rules for the WBC on who can play for who are pretty weird. If you are married to someone from one of the countries in the tourny that allows you to play for them. Or if your parents or grandparents are from one of the countries. They showed a stat the other day on team Spain, only 1 of their players was born in Spain.
