Don't care so long as I win some money!

Okay I am going with the Giants. Nicks or Manning MVP.

    Close game, 27-24

Thats the exact same score Madden 12 reproduced.

I have the Giants as well. I think they are the more balanced team. They have more weapons. Manning, Cruz, Manningham, Nicks and a better rush defense.

The Pats have Brady, Welker, a questionable Grankowski and suspect D.

Yet the Patriots dominated their way here and the Giants barely limped into the playoffs? Come on now, don't make the on-paper matchup seem in the Giants favor, thats just silly and no matter how suspect the Pats D is their roster matches up as favorites here.

PS - You left out Hernandez, the guy more difficult to handle, more talented, and more of a gameplan focus than any single one of Nicks, Manningham, Cruz or anyone else on the Giants offense. Grankowski hurt or not is also simply superior and more difficult to handle than any of the giants players mentioned. Wes Welker is more difficult to handle and gameplan for than any of the weapons mentioned.

All 3 of the Pats top weapons are better than every weapon on the giants roster. The QB throwing them the rock is vastly superior to Eli (Whether Eli is elite or not, he isn't nor will he ever be top 3 of all time). Offensively, the Patriots are an overwhelmingly dominate on-paper matchup. Factor in the Giants run game and I'm not even close to changing my mind. No comparison, offensively you have a solid team (giants) going against one of the best offenses in NFL history.

I fully believe the Giants can win. But not because they have some list of superior offensive weapons cause its silly to even begin comparing. Nicks and Cruz are world class but Welker Hernanzed and Gronk are in another league right now. They're 3 of the top 10 receivers in this league right now easily, maybe 3 of the top 5 with Calvin at #1 and *Insert your argument for 5th*.

Defensively the Giants obviously totally outclass the Patriots. But they can't stop Brady IMO. 31-21 Patriots.

    50/50 toss up really.

Pressure & frustrate Brady and if Eli can take care of the ball there is no reason the Giants shouldn't win this game tho.

Eli Manning has officially without a double undeniably reached elite QB status. What a cucumber, calm and cool.

Grats to the champs. Hell of a run. And I can't say I am upset to see Belicheat and Brady lose another SB. tee hee!

Two phenomenal Quarterbacks on display tonight.

    Some phenomenal playmakers as well.

Giants made more plays (Manningham), Pats made more mistakes (Welker).

Goodness. I didn't want to watch the shit but I couldn't stop.

Eli is the truth. FACT. I don't have time for ANYONE who disputes that.

PS: Brady and BB still without a ring since they were busted!

Tough loss, but it was still a great game by both teams.

    We will be back.

    Congrats to the Giants.

    That was intense.

The Manning final drive was special. He is the man. The last TD by Bradshaw was crazy the way he almost stopped at the 1. Kill the clock or give Brady the ball with 57 seconds left..

I doubt anybody on this continent was sitting when Brady threw that hail mary. What a game.

One of the best SuperBowls ever.
I'm sorry that you interpreted my incredibly funny joke as horribly offensive.

I tend to agree. Some of them end up this way but I didn't think that it had juice until the 4th quarter.

Agreed. The first half was a borderline disaster as far as quality football is concerned. I had a friend I was sitting with tell me it was the best game of football hes ever seen. I asked him where the fuck was he for both games 2 weeks ago and the Niners/Saints game. I think its absurd to rank this game ahead of any of those 3.

Good enough show by Brady but his receivers let him down on 2 catches that could've won them the game (Welker and Branch in the 4th) and the defense just couldn't stop Manning one bit when it mattered. He looked like he hadn't drained the slightest bit of effort in systematically carving up that absolutely PA.THE.TIC. secondary. Spikes is one of the slowest linebackers I've ever seen and blew majorly easy plays where he was in perfect position to deflect the pass or pick it off. He truly looked like complete and utter dogshit to compliment that talentless secondary behind him.

Manning was beyond amazing and beyond brilliant. I would say Brady was just as good and got let down by his team but the reality is he blew the game with a horrible safety he didn't need to throw, and a horrible INT he didn't need to throw.

Any other thoughts on that interception by Brady? IMO by far the single worst throw of his NFL career. The worst decision of his NFL career. If he runs forward for the 3-4 yard rush he has available, Patriots likely continue to effortlessly charge into at -least- field goal range during a very productive drive. That INT was a disaster perfectly on par with the muffed punt by Hunter on the 49ers (The first one early in the 4th) that dramatically changed the tone of a game that was going 150% the 49ers way at that point. We've seen so many remarkably rare things go down this postseason, just crazy how exciting and unpredictable it all was.

Don't misinterpret me as calling the Giants lucky either. They played with enormous talent and heart the whole way through. But there seemed to be some divine intervention (as religious nuts would love to claim) on display here between the 3 game winning streak to barely limp in the playoffs at 9-7, every anomaly that could go wrong for the 49ers going wrong, and then that totally unnecessary safety and INT by Brady of all people. If thats not destiny, what the hell is. It was the Giants year, no doubt. Grats Eli!

Well put Kyle...especially the part about Brady blowing it. I was so pissed when he didnt run that damn ball on the interception.

Eli and his group of WRs deserve all the props for winning this one. Congrats

I caught the 3rd/4th quarter. Still havent seen the bonehead saftey throw yet but from what i hear (and just read) it was ALL Brady as well.

Destiny is a prefect word to use. I think its the first team to have a 4 game losing streak during the season and win a superbowl. Amazing!!

I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but, if the Giants purposely had 12 men on the field at the end of the game, that is pure genius.

Interesting... I hadn't considered that, but you're right.

The matador defense the Pats used to give Brady an extra 30 secs on the final drive was also a great, unconventional move. (was also used out here in the HS D-1 state final and worked to perfection... unfortunately against my alma mater )

Yeah, when the Pats pulled that off i was sure they were going to come back with a minute and a timeout. That sack by Umenyiora to waste the timeout and waste 10 seconds completely negated that though, tough break.
