    2011/12 College Football

We should start this off on a positive note this season. If you have not yet to see it, watch Kirk Cousins speech from the Big 10 luncheon. Should be required viewing for every college athlete.

    Solid stuff from Cousins there.

Can't wait to get the season off. Extremely excited after sitting down and watching some Muschamp practices. Gators will have an entirely new look and attitude. October is going to be absolutely brutal but we'll figure out quickly how good/bad this team is and can be.

I can't wait to spend my Saturday afternoons/evenings in the Swamp again.

Brutal schedule but a veteran team here this year. Could easily lose four and be a much better team than last years two loss team.

Just had a look at your schedule, looks pretty difficult. They'll be a team I keep an eye on certainly. I really like Dantonio, a lot.

I really hate it when people schedule weddings during football season.

Or any sports season for that matter

Long weekends suck as well for weddings.

Miami needs to be careful...they could earn themselves a stern talking to from the NCAA.

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson is under investigation for his role in a Baton Rouge bar fight, one in which he is alleged to have kicked a patron in the head. So it figures a caller to Les Miles first radio show of the season Wednesday night would ask if there were plans to move Jefferson to punter.

"Officers took 49 pairs of shoes to test for blood from Jordan Jefferson"

How many pairs do you think he actually paid for?

Man, when I was in my 20s I would have been totally hammered by now either up at CSU (watching them play in their badass orange Aggies unis btw), or tailgating in Boulder. As it is, I'm having lunch and coloring with my daughter watching the games on tv Ah, getting older is fun

Just watched the Arkansas/Alabama game. There's something that bothered me for quite some time.

Since our European version of ESPN used the CBS feed and since my knowledge College Football is limited (as shown in the Y! college pick'em) can somebody explain to me why CBS has a different ranking system than others?

I mean they had Arkansas at 12 and Alabama at 2 while for exmple in the Y! pick'em they are ranked 14 / 3.

    Thanks.

Can't they just standardize it to avoid confusions?

Yeah that was a great ending to homecoming weekend. Best moment since Smoker to Duckett in the clockgate game. Can't wait to see Wiscy again in Indianapolis. Now on to Lincoln. I'm making my first ever trip there for a game, hope we can welcome them to the Big 10 the right way.

Also its great that it was Keith Nichol on the other end of that pass. Very deserving Spartan.

Lincoln is meh. You'll enjoy it though, since its for a ball game.

    Enjoy.

^ saying Lincoln is 'meh' is a compliment! About the only reason to visit that town is to watch the Huskers play ball....which I am sure is a blast so have fun!

I think 'meh' sums the city up perfectly
