The Cubs threw the ball around today like a t-ball team

Lou ought to take the bats away Tues and just let them practice throwing to one another

    - that and everything went Atl's way today

I am as stoked for baseball season as I have been in quite awhile.

I've only seen about 6 of Heywood's AB's but to me he looks like a mix of Garrett Anderson and Fred McGriff. He's got the demeanor and fluid stroke of Anderson with the Crime Dog's pop.

Theres only been two 20 year olds in the history of the game to hit 30 HR's - ARod and Tony Conigliaro...little early to say whether he'll do it but thats a real short list.

The Cubs look like a slow pitch softball team...that middle infield of Theriot/Fontenot has no range at all.

Heyward delivers an RBI double, Chipper hits a 2 run homer and Wagner throws an inning of gas = win #2

    - 160 more to go

I might have jinxed the sweep but not Chipper ........ I honestly don't see him playing the 140 they are hoping for.

That and Glaus looks lost ......... but hey I take the series win.

    - Trap early game SF today..... I thought there was a 24hr turn around time on start times when traveling more than 2 time zones

Chipper looked like he was in some pain on that swing.

Watching Glaus swing the bat hurts my back just watching, you can tell he's still hurting pretty bad on almost every single swing, dude needs to just hang them up.

Not to mention he can't field first base for his life.

No, if he's still going to play at all, he should be in the AL as a DH at least, or PH in the NL.

I was referring to the Braves playing at 7pm last night in ATL and having to fly into SF for an early game.

If memory serves there are rules regarding turn around times ..... obviously I don't know them as well as I thought I did or this would not be happening.

Oh, I thought the series was in Hotlanta.

There used to be a rule about teams playing the 7:05/35 (or later) games on the east coast then playing 1:00 (or earlier) games on the west coast. Not sure if there is a difference because the SF game is 4:05pm.

Let's go Braves... 2 outta 3. Hudson didn't pitch too bad either. We'll give Philly one.

Against better judgement I am going to post here again and hope another slump does not start.

Braves seem to have righted the ship and are back to 1.5 out of a slumping Phillies club and survived the front loaded early schedule.

Need some production from someone in the OF not named Heyward though .....maybe Cox continues to give Hinske some more time.

Glaus - is off my shit list as well.

Braves survive the long road trip .........6-5 vs LA,ARI and MINN

Back home to face the Rays and then the schedule turns a bit more favorable.

    - The NL East is a beast of a division this year

No sweat!!!!! It's the run! Bobby Cox going out on top! Might as well just call the season, put the Braves in the Series vs. the Yanks, the Sox, or whoever...
