According to Radar Online, Elin Nordegren, formerly Elin Woods, is going to get a pretty nice lump of cash out of this whole "Escalade-waitresses-porn star" debacle that happened to the top golfer in the land nearly a year ago. Radar is saying that Elin will get $110 million from Tiger when the papers are signed, a sum that has been tossed around ever since news hit that the two would be splitting.
I think she could have gotten a lot more. I was expecting she would get at least 200 million

She's still going to be getting a ton of money for child support, so the $110 million is hardly all she's getting.

I thought the pre-nup was 300, which was why I had thought so much higher.

Maybe we can get this thread renamed to the Golf Thread?

Anybody else watching the Match Player Championship?

Nah, just start a new Golf/PGA thread here if you want to discuss it. the first 249 posts here are all about Woods and the scandal & his return.

And there's already a Golfing thread (as in, the rec activity/sport) in the OT section for this kind of stuff..

just doesn't seem necessary. and who's to say we've seen the end of Tiger's great adventures?

Well he's divorced now so he's allowed to do it.

Speaking of Tiger, goes down on 19 to Bjorn. Didn't seem too pleased in the interview afterwards.

    Can't stand Rickie Fowler.

Rory, Westwood, McDowell, and Poults are my boys this year. I also think Hunter Mahan is going to do really well, I'll take him to win the US Open.

Might as well move to England, Conor.

I like Mahan though, I also really like Bubba Watson. He taught himself how to play for the most part and is a bit out-there personality wise.

I don't like Bubba..something about that hair or something.

And hey, Rory and Graeme are Irish, don't ever forget it!

    And they're both complete tools.

Cannot stand any of those guys. The only Euro I like is Kaymer.

Is it because they're United fans? Poults is an Arsenal fan?

Good golfers, you can't deny that. Kaymer is a really solid golfer too.

I don't know who Rory/McDowell supports, and I know Poults likes the Gunners and I don't have beef against Arsenal.

They are definitely top flight golfers, just can't stand them personally. Kaymer is going to be in the top 2-3 for a good long time.

This Watson/Holmes match is pretty insane. Holmes up 5 after 10 and now they're heading to the 19th hole. Bubba certainly put it into high gear while JB completely buckled down the stretch. Kaymer/Jiminez was another dandy.

wtf happened in the desert there on 18? Was there 2 sprinkler heads in the way or something? Strange turn of events for sure, can't stand Bubba, he's a weirdo, so hoping JB comes out but neither will beat Kaymer in that wind.

Yeah, I'm not too sure what happened there. These last two holes have been quite, quite bizarre. Luckily, they're not in a stroke play event, they'd certainly be penalized for slow play.

what a comeback by Bubba. 5 down after 10 and pulls it off on the 19th. It reminds me of this match play tourney back in high school. I was 5 down after 11 and ended up tying it up on 17 and double lipped a 30 footer on the last hole to win. I can't remember playing a better stretch of holes under pressure in my life. I love match play.

Mike Weir lost his full PGA tour card, he's come down pretty hard.

Sounds like thanks to sponsors though he should be able to play most events, + winning the Masters means he's always welcome to play in that.
