Mills looked really good tonight, too bad he's prob going back down tonight so they can bring up Snider.

The Jays pitching depth has not been this good in years, it's nice too finally see. It should only get better as well, AA went crazy drafting pitchers this year.

I read tonight that the Jays have looked into trading for Kelly Johnson, and that Hill has said he would be willing to move over to 3B if need be.

How about Chone Figgins? (read in griffin's mailbag...not a rumour, a suggestion)

I doubt the Jays would want to take on his big contract that he just signed with the M's.

If AA really is looking at picking up a 2B and moving Hill to 3B Johnson would be a good start, or someone like him IMO.

Dont forget Johnson and Escobar played together in ATL, so they know each other from that, I'm sure they would have some chemistry playing SS/2B.

A few trade rumors I read today about the Jays.

The Mets and White Sox both had scouts at last nights game.

Philly would like to trade for Bautista along with about 5 or 6 other teams. Bautista would be a perfect in Philly the way he's been hitting, that's a hitters ball park.

I posted this in the trade thread but thought I would post it in here as well.

I'm not sure what AA is doing here, he traded Brett Wallace to Houston to get this Gose kid.

    http://tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=328914

AA says he's been trying to get Gose for awhile.

This is the 1st move by AA that I question.

I guess maybe they want Lind to play 1B.

Edit: I have nothing wrong with getting Gose, but losing Wallace to get him, I dont know. AA said they wanted Gose in the deal for Halladay but could not get him, then again this spring they went after him, then today AA was able to get him from Houston, he sounds like a really good OF with tons of speed, but I really liked Wallace. The Jays think Gose can win some gold gloves in the OF, he's only 19 years old.

I wonder if AA has something else cooking to make this deal.

Wallace has been traded now by 4 MLB teams STL, PHI, OAK and now Toronto before he even plays a big league game.

    It's a weird trade that's for sure.

Sounds like SF now wants in on Bautista.

I don't follow the minors that much but thought Wallace was just about ready to come up and now a 19 year old is a step back.

I went to one of them last year. Solid investment. The nachos were beyond terrible though. And getting those condiment packets open while trying to hold the hotdog in those seats wasn't easy either. I'd do it again in a heartbeat though. Though, if I did, probably wouldn't have many heartbeats left.

I don't like that nacho cheese so I took a pass on the nachos. The hotdogs weren't too bad to manage, we sat at the back of the section with no one around is so we had some room to maneuver.

Wallace played his 1st two games in the MLB over the weekend for Houston, going 1 for 6, they say he's now there new starting 1B.

They showed Lind taking extra practice over the weekend at 1B for the Jays, looks like he may be the Jays 1B next season if they dont pick anyone else up.

I'm a Yankees fan. I hate playing the Blue Jays. Please see the last 2 games and you will know why.

The Jays are seriously underrated. If they were in another division, they would be contending every year. I can't understand why they don't play other teams as well as they play the Yanks. I expect the Jays to sweep the series tonight.

I'm really looking forward to the next few years of Jays baseball, they are going to be a fun team to watch, and should give TB, BOS and NYY a good run for there money in the AL East.

They have good young key players to build around who are already at the MLB level in Hill, Lind, Snider, Escobar, Romero, Marcum, Cecil, Morrow, Camp, Purcey, then guys like Wells, Lewis, Bautista, MacDonald who are good solid vets.

Rookies who should be on this team next season are SP Kyle Drabek and C J.P. Arencibia, also P Zach Stewart could find himself playing for the Jays next season.

Both Hill and Lind have had a down year so far, look for them both to bounce back in a big way next year again.

Getting Escobar was the best move AA has made so far, he's the SS the Jays have been looking to get for years, he's already becoming a fan fav in Toronto in his short time here. Escobar reminds me of Alomar, different position I know, but same type of players IMO, awesome with the glove, and can hit, with some speed, Escobar has a great arm as well to throw guys out with.

Buck was put on the 15 day DL after the game today, he took a ball off his hand, they say they are calling up Arencibia in time for Friday's game, so we will get our 1st look at him with the Jays.

Litsch is back on the DL, he will be out for about 4-6 months they say, he has a tear in his right hip or something like that.

Mills was called back up, he will start tomorrow.

We are going to get a good look at some of the prospects now with Arencibia and Mills now up.
