Suprised everyone is so quick to write off Devin Hester. I've heard he's looked good in camp and Jay Cutler will more than uphold his side of the QB/WR skill relationship. Once you've managed to chase down a 60 yard pass, you've already done the really hard part. Catching it isn't nearly as challenging.

I'm with ya buddy. I am hoping for some big things from Hester this year. I drafted him 7th over all (after keeping 7 so tech the 14th round) to take command of my third WR slot. Maybe a ballsy move so early in the draft but I had b2b picks and took a young RB first. I love to draft on hopes of what a player can potentially do and not always on what they have done. Especially when all the best are already being kept year after year.

Strange but now that I think of it, I've owned Hester in this league for 3 years running. I keep dropping him back into the FA pool and snatching him back up every draft as a 4th WR/bye week fill in. I need him to produce this year though. Time to break out buddy! Please?

WOW!!! Huge blow to the Bears defense!!
Brian Urlacher (dislocated wrist) said he appears to be out for the season.

There's no official word from the team yet, but it doesn't sound good as Urlacher had to have a dislocated bone put back in. It's a huge blow to the Bears' defense, who will either shift Lance Briggs to middle linebacker or try to use veteran Hunter Hillenmeyer to fill the gap. Urlacher now officially has an "injury prone" label.

No doubt, that sucks for the Bears. You know it had to be something bad seeing as he sat out the entire 2nd half last night.

The QB (Cutler) is an ass. Probably the joke of the league....man I love the irony here.

He certainly looks like ass this year. Especially tonight against the 49ers. Terrible performance.

Don't be too harsh, he threw for over 300 yards and a solid %. He just made poor decision after poor decision and it bit him in the ass a lot. It was definitely a bad game but nothing amazingly bad. Outside his five picks he was fantastic and moved the ball very well.

His red zone interceptions are definitely a serious issue, though.

How many TD's did he throw on top of his 5 INT? 29/52 isn't something I'd brag much about. Plus, 120 of those 307 yards were lil drop offs to Matt Forte. Who has also been kinda stinking it up this year in the run game. Besides, I don't care if Cutler threw for 500 yards and moved the ball well. When it mattered, he stunk it up. It was a god awful game for Cutler. I really don't see how you can look at it any other way....

I haven't watched a lot of Bears games this year but part of me is wondering if it isn't the offensive line that is causing trouble for guys like Cutler and Forte ?

Cutler did look like ass, that's for sure, he seems to make alot of throws that he really has no idea where they are going.

Other members of the offense are just as much/more guilty than Cutler for tonight's game. He was not that horrible.

Hey, we're all entitled to our opinions. As for me, I thought it was Jamarcus Russel out there in a Bears uniform and I had to do a double take.

    zing!

I don't think Russel has thrown for 300 yards in his career.

I'm not saying it wasn't a bad night for Cutler. I just don't think it was necessarily as bad as Kurt Warner's recent 5 TD game. 5 picks is horrible no matter how you cut it but outside those 5 picks he was great. There was positives to take from his performance is all I'm saying.

Cutler now has 17 INT's on the year, which is now 1st in the NFL.

Also his QB rating tonight was 33.6.

Wonder if he will cry and demand a trade any time soon?

I think Cutler was pitiful, but outside of Olsen, they have just a horrible group of receivers. They need a true #1. They abandon the run game WAY too quick as well.

haha, he would have to play out this season now.

I bet now he wishes he had never left Denver, Josh McDaniels would have had him playing great, just look at Orton.

This hasn't been overblown to 1/100th of the proportion that Henry was.

Mike Martz to the Bears. Jay Cutler is a soon to be dead man. Average sacks allowed by Martz' offenses the past 4 seasons= 55.

Julius Peppers is visiting Chicago first. They seem to be the front runners.

Peppers is going to be making $20M alone this year, then that drops down to $11.5 next year.
