..... = Roger Clemens! At least in the court of law. That's it. Over. I don't ever wanna hear about Clemens and whether he did or didn't ever again. It sucks... Because as much as I don't wanna hear about it, we WILL have to hear about it since he is Hall eligible this year. So the debate will loom over us again...........

We are going to continue to hear about it because, no matter what the courts say, he is guilty as shit in the court of public opinion.

Does he have any records of note to go with that?

Some of his Cy Young awards.

*Clemens is top 10 in wins.
*He is 3rd all-time in strikeouts.

Some of his Cy Young awards.
Exactly, he was 18-4 at the age of 42 with over 200+ strikeouts. That's juice, literally. The following year at 43 he records a 1.87 ERA, his lowest ever. The year he was allegedly injected with steroids (1998), he accumulated 271 strikeouts and 292 a year earlier?!

Im not gonna sit here and deny he was a great pitcher, he was but i also think he used steroids when it was unfortunately rampant in the game. Send him and all the "alleged" steroid users to the HOF but with a fat *asterisk*.

Might as well throw an asterisk on the whole season/league.

Yup, like Bonds, Sosa, McGwire, etc., Clemens was just lucky to be one of the most talented players of the juicing era. The biggest asterisk still belongs to MLB, imo.

Agreed. The era gets the asterisk.

My point was that baseball is much more of a numbers game than the others. Cy Young awards definitely count but it is the records that people remember most. Many more people remember the number for the most career HR or Dimaggio's 56 games than they do how many Cy Youngs Clemens won.
