Now over the years, those of you who have frequented these threads in this forum have come to know that I am still pretty huge on Poison! That said, I am very, very hopeful that this new Bret Michaels solo CD isn't recycled. His last two CDs are pretty much previous releases just in a different song order.

Artisan News caught up with POISON singer Bret Michaels n February 9 at The Grammy Foundation's annual Grammy Week preservation event at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, California and asked him about his upcoming solo album. You can now watch the report below.

As previously reported, Bret told RollingStone.com (http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/bret-michaels-new-album-to-include-duets-with-loretta-lynn-jimmy-buffett-20120209) that his new solo CD, "Get Your Rock On", will include guest appearances by DEF LEPPARD guitarist Phil Collen, MY DARKEST DAYS axeman Sal Costa, Jimmy Buffett and country singer Loretta Lynn.

"Loretta Lynn and I are gonna redo [POISON's] 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' together," Bret told RollingStone.com. "And, for me, growing up in a family that my father loved country music and 'Coal Miner's Daughter', this is gonna be a really awesome time."

He added, "The song 'Get Your Rock On' has Phil Collen playing guitar with me and it also has Sal Costa from MY DARKEST DAYS [a] really, really good guitar player and good friend. Jimmy Buffet and I did a live version of 'Margaritaville' together."

Michaels said the two duets, with Lynn and Buffett, will be "two bonus tracks." And of the rest of the record he said, "It is just straight-up in-your-face rock and roll."
