Seguin, Brodeur for my Weber in Team #2.
If I do this deal, I will leave a hole in my D... but what if I can get Boyle, Green for my Marleau right after or possibly Chara for my Bryzgalov?

Absolutely...other than Smith your other tenders are shaky so Marty only helps.
Seguin isn't slowing down playing with Bergeron and Marchand either.

I'm worried about Seguin because he hasn't proven anything. And streaky as heck. 4 points in last 12 games only. Also not sure if he's much of an upgrade over my 7th forward Fisher for the 2nd half. Fisher's been hot for over a month now.,

Hasn't proven anything? He went 11-11-22 in 74 games last year.
He's likely to triple that output this year sitting at 20-25-45 right now thru 54 GP
Fisher ...cmon Lex

And Fisher is just as likely to hit 60+ points with the 1.5 month+ streak he's on. I'm high on him because he's a multicat threat.
Since 2012,
Fisher - 19GP, 10G, 11A, +8, 6PPP, 26 Hits, 23 BLK
Seguin - 5G, 8A, 0, 3PPP, 7 Hits, 4 BLK, A lot more SOGs than Fish
easy accept, no brainer. Good deal for you
I was offered Carter instead of Seguin as well. Carter a good or bad gamble? He could be moved to a contender in 2 weeks.
Suggestions on replacing Weber (if I can't make a trade for a defenseman)? Closest I can find on the FA would be Hamonic who is sorta multicat minus the points... then Greg Zanon who is averaging 2.7 BLK/game over 33 games.

I think carter outpoints seguin the rest of the way but his +/- scares me...but only if he doesn't get traded.

I easily prefer Seguin to Carter

just curious why?
seguin is showing signs of slowing down. It's been a real long couple of seasons for the young gun. Carter is back and healthy again and is a proven goal scorer. sure CLB sucks but he could be outta there real soon. I guess to me you could really flip a coin.

I just follow my gut feelings. I just feel that Carter has a ceiling of 80-ish points and that Seguin's could be way more. Seguin will also help you a lot in other cats... I do like Carter, but for me the choice is easily Seguin... but hey ... who knows? ;)

Thanks for the thoughts. Biggest question for me right now is how do I replace Weber?

I would take boyle and green for marleau if you could. was this offered to you?
Bryz for chara seems a little much, but not horrible either.

He just traded Boyle away so this is no longer possible. Oh well.
