Disclaimer: All of the following are based on my (hopefully) unbiased opinion and are in no way statistical fact. Factors going into my decisions include goalie skill, match up, career stats vs, and recent trends. How many goalies start reflects how much I write about them, usually. Several early games today, set your rosters!

I was in the middle of typing stuff and the window got X'd, and I really don't want to type all that stuff again, so short version today. Who decides to put so many games on Sunday anyways

Good Start
C Brodeur @FLA: Making his return, played well before injury.
C Reimer @ATL: 9 goals in his last 2 games, I doubt Toronto would hesitate to send him down if he continues to slump..Gustavsson has been destroying the AHL (3-0-1, 1.17gaa, .950sv%)
Brygalov @CHI: Finally lost, allowing 5 goals. Phoenix has been outscored 6-13 in their last 2.
C Crawford vs PHX: Won 3 in a row, coming off a shutout against Nashville. Lost in shootout in his only meeting with Phoenix.
C Kiprusoff @STL: Kipper has lost a few in a row now, but is still posting solid numbers. He's got a great record against St.Louis, so start with confidence. Kipper has started 15 in a row, he needs a break soon.

Toss Up
Roloson @NYR: He'll have twice as many wins and half the losses when he reaches the same amount of games played in NYI, but will still have worse numbers despite 4SO.
Lundqvist vs TBL: Coming off a shutout, plays well against Tampa.
S. Mason @NSH: Won 7 of last 8, shutout Nashville in last meeting. Personally, I think he'll have a HUGE bounce back next season, so acquire him cheap if you can.
Vokoun vs NJD: Model of consistent inconsistency. When he wins he dominates when he loses he's horrible, but consistently puts up 2.6~gaa and .920sv%
Bishop @CGY: Bishop earned his first shutout after getting pulled in his first start this year. Conklin was waived, so I can only imagine Halak is healthy, and could still end up starting this game.
Rask @EDM: I don't know what it is about Boston, but they seem to pick a goalie to play better for at the beginning of the year. Rask has been solid in his last 2, but inconsistent in his limited time.

Weak Start
Dekanich vs CLB: Lindback isn't in the line up, Rinne could see B2B action. He allowed 4 against Columbus last game.
Ellis vs COL: What a bummer Emery doesn't get his shot at the NHL yet, he's probably just as good as Ellis at this point. He had some huge saves in the Minny game but still lost in OT.
C Dubnyk vs BOS: Dubnyk has officially fallen back to earth, allowing 3 or more in 5 of 7 starts this month, and posting a season worst 3.17gaa and .892sv%.

Don't Start
C.Mason vs TOR: He played well in relief for Pavelec and has had tons of rest recently, but he's kinda garbage.
Budaj @ANA: No reason to over work Elliott if he sucks, they just get the benefit of an RFA instead of UFA. Crazy how well Colorado was doing then went on a losing streak and decided to tank.

Don't think Pekka will see back to back action against Columbus? If not I'll have to start Rolly the goalie :/

Well, Rinne has played B2B just twice all season with Lindback getting good starts, but when I checked to see if he was back with the big club I guess he isn't yet. Dekanich could see the start if they have faith in him, but I guess that increases Rinne's chances regardless.

Source for Bishop?

It's buried in there:

Bishop will start Sunday night's game in Calgary, and Conklin, still property of the Blues until the team learns Monday at 11 a.m. if he's been claimed, will be the backup against the Flames.

I was just poking around looking for some info on whether Rinne was going to start today and came across this http://www.section303.com/preds-recall-lindback-as-expected-from-milwaukee-9679 and this http://www.ontheforecheck.com/2011/2/27/2018507/nashville-predators-recall-anders-lindback-assign-mark-dekanich-to

They say Lindback was recalled but expect Rinne to start.

Rinne it is

My H2H opponent has Lundy and we're tied so far for week. A win comes down to my Rinne or Rolly matching him. Was gonna roll with Rolly but if Rinne's gonna start... Nash can't lose 5 in a row can they? LOL!

Which two should I start: Brodeur, Crawford, Rinne?

02-27-2011, 04:38 PM
I would have sit Rinne...

Pick one please:
Crawford or Rask?
(win more important than saves or sv%)

Corn: I'd go with Rask.

So far this week the stats look like this:
Me: 1w, .904sv%, 0so
Him: 2w, .888sv%, 0so

He does NOT have a goalie going today, but I have a choice of Bryz or Kipper. What would you do?

A. Play Bryz
B. Play Kipper
C. Neither. Take the split and be happy.
