Don't see any fantasy relevance for either player.. both crappy teams.. both crappy goalies.

Only newsworthy, if you own either of them, I guess..

Anderson is definitely not a crappy goalie. So happy to get rid of Elliott. Sens win this deal hands down! Should be interesting to see how he plays down the stretch and if the Sens re-sign him.

LOL I don't think either goalie is crappy :) Just 2 inconsistent teams one from injury the other from Heatley. I think Anderson will have the more immediate chance to start although I don't think anything can save the Sens this season certainly not Anderson in his current form. Elliot has the most upside IMO will he get a chance to be #1 and will Colorodo turn it around, he has to outplay Budaji?

I wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa flips Anderson. He has more value than Elliot and they're getting rid of assets. However, Lehner is a few years away so Anderson can definitely hold down the fort like he did in Florida while Vokoun was injured that one season.

Funny how your opinion changes when he gets traded to your team...

If Ottawa has any plans to resign Anderson I'd be surprised. I think they just don't want to even consider resigning Elliott, who's an RFA as opposed to the UFA Anderson is. They do need a buffer for Lehner though, but whoever the new GM is will decide who that is, not Murray.

I was talking fantasy wise with that comment AND when he was on Colorado who were playing terribly. The Sens are obviously not any better right now but if he impresses down the stretch, he could be re-signed and the Sens can bounce back next season and Anderson would be fantasy relevant again. He's young and has all the opportunity now, I see him having a strong finish to the season. I'm mostly just happy to get rid of Elliott who had displayed that he was nothing more than an average backup.
