View Full Version : Tell me I'm not crazy..dump Green in a shallow one year league?

I've been thinking about it for a really long time but just haven't brought myself to do it. Malkin was my 1st pick and Green was my 2nd and I'm still in 1st place in the league. Points and +/- only, we roster 2D, and I already have Yandle and Chara. I'd pick up a forward with 40~ points or a high +/- D like Lydman or Campbell.

Can't trade him for anything?

With Yandle and Chara, I would consider it.. list the FAs.

Not a lot of trading happens, it's just a family/friends type thing and nobody is really serious into fantasy sports. Vanek, Steen, Doan, Recchi, Kulemin, Elias, Boyes, the 2 D listed above, Burns..I wouldn't really consider many though. With such a lack of categories good +/- players are pretty crucial or else Vanek would have been owned all year.

I know you said not much trading, but maybe if you try to package him along with a skater for an upgrade?

Not going to happen unfortunately. Only the top 25~Dmen are gone, there's no real need for him on anyones team even.

you are crazy :)

I'm in a similar position in one of my leagues and for the record, you're not crazy. Green has been absolute shite this year.

Yeah then I would probably dump him and cut your losses. Washington seems to be a more defensive minded team this year which hurts the normally inflated offensive numbers.

In that shallow of a one year leauge at this point in the season it probably is time to move on.
