View Full Version : Hedberg / Brodeur's MCL

Hedberg's been playing great for a resurgent NJD with Brodeur out. Brodeur reported to be out for another week with MCL strain. Do you think Hedberg's worth picking up for the longer term (ie rest of season)? Is NJ more of a platoon situation now? Does NJD rest Brodeur for the playoffs and go with the hot hand?

My other goalies are Lundqvist, Varlamov and Boucher.

The Devils are currently 14 points out of the playoffs and need to leapfrog 5 teams to get there. You never know but Lemaire has proven in the past that he likes to ride his horse, when healthy.

In the words of Jim Mora:

What's that? Ah -- Playoffs? Don't talk about -- playoffs?! You kidding me?! Playoffs?!

Ha, I'm so used to the idea of resting Brodeur for the playoffs, I just typed without thinking.

Still, you never know...

I doubt it, but he's a great short term pick up. When Hiller went down aroudn the same time he was available in my league, helped me win last week. Won't be taking Hiller off the IR til he fucks up or I need extra games.
