He started off the season really nice then dissappeared, coach sat him a game or 2 and he comes back to have 4 strait multi-point games. An insane 9 points in 4 games.

Has he been pretty much a lock on the second line or is he doing this from the 3rd line. What is his PP time like?

plenty of PP2 time. He's been on the #2 line with Vinny and Gagne about 40% of his shifts the last 10 games.

Where are you getting a stat like that?

Dobber's tool pretty much confirms he's right. (My eyes also could tell you he's right as well)

I was using it and it came out to something like 9%...

Yeah. I didn't really look to see if the 40% is right on but they're playing enough together. That's been the line.

Make sure you change it to Last 10 games played like I did, or whatever period of time you want.

But yeah. With all the .48% and stuff like that with Stamkos/Downie/Purcell etc, he's spending a very good amount of time in good company.

Very simply: He needs to prove himself over a longer stretch to warrant a pickup and any legit fantasy talk.

In 10 team 1 year leagues for sure, but in deeper dynasty and keeper leagues these are the times to discuss guys like Teddy.

However I had not realized Malone was injured. All this top 6 time was probably just to fill in for injury.

Basically. When Gagne was out was when he really did well earlier in the year too, but since Malone isn't necessarily always a top 6 guy Purcell might only lose PP time, for now at least.

Malone absolutely is a top 6 guy, cannot recall the last time he was on the third line except for a few minutes in a game.

There's just too many guys ahead of Purcell for offense in TB. Stammer, St.Louis, Vinny, Gagne, Malone, and now MAB on the PP. He's exceeded expectations but for a guy that had quite a bi of potential when drafted by LA and in their system, that's not saying too much. He's a 45-50 point guy and good in only deeper leagues.
