This should probably be in the NHL section, but there has been a lot of talk regarding choosing keepers in this area.

Looks like Semin will stay in Washington through next season. Now, if they can figure out a way to keep him from breaking.

85 points in 60 games is worth it. And everyone who says no playoffs just completely disregards every season but last I guess. 24 points in 28 games (22 in 21 in the 08/09 seasons) is hardly qualified as a playoff choker.

I am glad he is staying. Would hate to see the caps loose that much talent by someone just walking. that would really suck.

Oh well Burkie, another sniper you can strike out in your UFA hunt this summer.. but then, it's really Brad Richards we're gunning for in the end, isn't it? ;)
