This guy is doing nothing and seams to be a minus most nights. On top of that, he is almost 40 and in a keeper pool his time is almost up. He plays tons of pp and shorty but hasn't gotten much of either. no pims, never hits, etc etc.

I think it's time to trade this guy for a 'lesser name' playing better than him. Straight up for Andrew Ladd for example. I'm not sure I would keep Ladd, but I definitely would take Ladd for the year over him. Thoughts on Alfie?

He is definitely having a year that more represents his age. I would be surprised if he was released in my league but I think it makes sense to get a guy like Ladd for him. Don't sell too low but don't expect much more than decent numbers for the rest of the year.

Barring injury I still think he hits about 70 points this year. Spezza has done nothing this year either, and the Sens as a team aren't helping. They've scored 17 goals in their last 12 games, not even averaging 2 per game! They'll turn it around.

Aim higher than Ladd.

make that 7 straight games without a point. and he's almost 40. in a keeper pool. this guy's value is hanging buy a thread imo. any Alfredsson owners thinking the same?

You could say the same about Spezza, and he's much younger.

You got to wait it out, hope that team finds some offensive chemistry.

Hold onto Alfie. He always comes through eventually.

Don't sell low. Yes, he's not playing well, but trading him now won't net you a good return. Just put him on your bench and wait for him (and the entire Ottawa team) to start picking it up again.

Alfredsson was dropped in my 10 team league. i have been eyeing a Voracek replacement. There are some interesting FA's: Purcell, Hornqvist, Pominville, Frolik, but do I want to put a waiver in for Alfie? (4 of 10)

Jump on Alfie right now. He's still got 18 pts on the season and should finish with 60-65 pts which is decent.

Sorry, I had to dig this one up. I am curious if there are some Ottawa fans here that can shed some light on WTF is going on there?

Is Alfredsson even in the mix as someone who could be traded at the deadline?

I am getting an itchy index finger to drop his ass for Recchi, Purcell, Stafford or Parenteau (we don't count =/-).

Word is that Alfredsson and Karlsson are Ottawa's only untouchables. Alffy was dropped in my league a long time ago. Someone else picked him up, then also dropped him. If you don't count +/-, I would just hold onto Alfredsson and hope he gets hot. Those other guys you mentioned wouldn't be huge upgrades. Also, Spezza is back now, so hopefully that gives the Ottawa offense a boost.
