on pace for 0 G, 0 A, and like a -180.

Now I know why I was ridiculed when I drafted him in the 7th.

Is this guy gonna suck all year? It can't be this bad? Looks like he's throing some shots at the net then getting scored on.

Hopefully he'll get injured again so I can drop his ass and not have to look at him every time I set my lineup.

It can't be this bad. Everyone around him is producing, including guys in the bottom six. He's getting chances, just having bad luck...hopefully. Considering he's a LW with near ppg potential I think he warrant's a roster spot more than other slow starters.

Doesn't help that Lecavalier (who normally centres him) is out of the lineup.

Patience - he'll turn it around.

I'm trying to steal him from a fed up owner. Too much talent around him not to get it together.

this may be a great opportunity to establish the skater handcuff with gagne/malone, i've been considering it

patience is a virtue, we're only two weeks in. give it some time. new team, new system.

The only reason I am sorry I drafted him is thinking how easy I could have bought low on him at this point. Now way Gagne stays off the board but if it even takes him half the season he is worth hanging on to. Thinking somewhat of Doan last year was frustratingly quite until well after the allstar break when he woke up. Its worth the wait when these kinda players click.

That said isn't Tampa where Tanguay's fantasy value died?

Your not going to be disapointed when he starts to light it up, and he will, far too much talent around him, he will be a force on the PP with Stamkos and a variety of others, just a matter of time before he goes off.

i'd love him to find his way onto the IR just so i don't have to go through the embarrassment of dropping him

I'm planing to make a trade offer to get him, who should I offer? His owner is short on rw's.

I'm thinking about offering Frolov for him straight up. Good idea?

finally dumped him for prospal, was hoping for a late season run but he seems to have petered out from his short little burst. Just wanted to put him on a watch since I dumped him he'll probably go on a tear.

I just got rid of him. I drafted him late and have been more than patient. Time to move on. I picked up Moulson for him.

He's still playing on the second line with Vinny though no?

I'm tempted to drop him for Benn or Prospal, but I see it as a lateral move and Gagne has a higher ceiling.

In all reality he should be scoring and he was doing really well last month but he seems to have hit a plateau again and is I think under .5 PPG this season which is horrid at any forward draft position.

He's worth watching because he has potential to turn it on but dang for someone with his track record this scoring trend he is on as absolutely shocking. Like Jokinen 2.0

I would drop Gagne for Benn

Gagné is such a good hockey player ... How can that happen?

Drop Gagne for Benn, no question. Not sure why Gagne would have a higher ceiling than Benn... Gagne's been on a big downward trend the last few years and there is no indication he'll get it back, plus he's not getting any younger. Benn on the other hand has just started to break out, and with Neal's trade to Pitt, Benn is getting every opportunity on Dallas' top line. I have Benn reaching point-per-game pace next year, Gagne nowhere close.

Ok, I made the move. But the reason I see Gagne having a higher ceiling is that until he got hurt last season he was scoring at almost a point per game for 4 straight seasons.

2005: 79 in 72
2006: 68 in 76
2007: 18 in 25 (hurt)
2008: 74 in 79
2009: 40 in 58 (hurt)
2010: in progress
-------------
279 in 310 is 0.9 ppg

Benn COULD reach that level, but Gagne already had. And he's only 30. It's not like he's old. Meanwhile Benn is a 5th round pick that put up 40 points last year. It's possible that he hits 60 points this year, but I tend to lean toward the proven track record than the wildcard. Plus, Gagne plays on a better team. But what ultimately swayed me was Benn will be playing on the first PP unit while Gagne is not.
