I did not prepare any of these lists/spreadsheets. I just felt that it would be beneficial to have all the info in one thread, and merging the threads would have been clumsy, considering the various dates each analysis was posted on.

Here is Skate or Die's overall "off night" schedule analysis. Remember, the lower the number, the better the team's schedule.

Chicago: 1130
Anaheim: 1154
Calgary: 1158
Vancouver: 1180

Thanks everyone. I find it surprising how even the playoff games are distributed. Normally some teams have 5 in a week but none here. Even if the finals are 2 weeks, all teams have 6 or 7 except for 2.

great work guys........would like a last column on the playoff schedule adding up total playoff games perhaps? i remember skateordie posted a google docs link so i can just quickly add the columns if they don't mind. can also add some formatting like last year (most games red, least games blue)

Googledocs link to the playoff schedule:

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B7qcb44vzZPWNjZmMTA0ODYtMDcyZC00MjVhLTk2Y jMtM2U5NDNkNzkyMmFk&authkey=CPqP59AE&hl=en

so added two columns....first one is total games played during playoff period. red=higher, green=lower. second column is a count of games played during low traffic nights. so essentially the nights which are highlighted in yellow at the bottom (10 games or fewer). so you want more games played on low traffic nights to reduce conflicts in H2H daily transactions

But the playoffs are either rounds 1-3 or 2-4, so the total doesn't really apply. That's why I left it out and made the xls available for download/customization.

For those looking for the smallest of advantages, here's the number of games remaining for each time from November 5 onwards.

73 BOSTON
72 DETROIT
72 EDMONTON
72 FLORIDA
72 ST LOUIS
71 DALLAS
71 MINNESOTA
71 NASHVILLE
71 PHOENIX
71 SAN JOSE
70 CALGARY
70 CAROLINA
70 COLORADO
70 COLUMBUS
70 LOS ANGELES
70 MONTREAL
70 NY RANGERS
70 TAMPA BAY
70 TORONTO
70 VANCOUVER
70 WASHINGTON
69 ANAHEIM
69 ATLANTA
69 BUFFALO
69 NY ISLANDERS
69 OTTAWA
69 PHILADELPHIA
69 PITTSBURGH
68 NEW JERSEY
67 CHICAGO

Now Chicago has a great offday schedule, so don't necessarily go selling them off. But some New Jersey for Detroit type swaps might help gain that little edge.

Bumping this thread since a lot of people are in playoffs now.. anyone using Secol's chart to their advantage?

Notice the dates are off the for Western Conference, but other than that, it looks very valuable for the next coming weeks.

Thanks guys!

So which teams should we be targeting in the last few weeks? CHI, COL, and DAL all have 4/4 weeks.

In H2H leagues with limited roster spots, the real key becomes the offday teams.

The best team for the last 3 weeks is Detroit. Not only do they have a 3/4/3, but they're also super offday.

Next up would be Colorado, 4/4/3 and very offday.

yeah, detroit, chicago, vancouver, and jersey all have a lot of off days so they're likely better than just picking whoever has the most. made some moves to get d.sedin and overpaid for franzen, but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Just want to say thanks. These charts have been very helpful in preparing my rosters.

I just wanted to confirm that during the two week final in a head to head league that the max moves per week (3 in my case) extends over the course of the two weeks, as opposed to doubling up to 6.

Thanks.

Agreed. As do the goalie minimums. If you have 3 minimum appearances, for example, those 3 are spread out over the 2 weeks. No doubling there, either.

Which software is this? I'm so pissed that Yahoo got rid of 2 week finals.

Wait, there isn't a 2 week final any more? That's news to me. Fuck, I should have grabbed Franzen then.

Wasn't last year either.

So weak.

In head to head leagues from this day forward teams with 3 games (the most available) before the end of the season are:

TB (Moore, Jones, Purcell, Malone) PIT/@MIN/@CHI
PHI (Upshall, van Riemsdyk) ATL/@NJ/NYR
MIN (Clutterbuck, Miettinen, Brunette) EDM/TB/@DET
CLB (Voracek, Vermette, Brassard) @WSH/CHI/STL
COL (Jones, McLeod) NSH/@PHX/CGY
DAL (Ott, Langenbrunner) @SJ/@LA/@ANA

I'm debating between Ott and Moore after already picking up Hejduk and van Riemsdyk. All the teams aren't facing very weak opponents but if I had to pick I'd say MIN, CLB, and TB have the best schedules, but I use the term loosely.

Good luck to those of you in the finals.
