I have found links to NHL streams on the forums here in the past but I did not see any topics regarding streaming NHL games when I made this post.So if this kind of thing is frowned upon just delete this topic.

I have have been watching games here:

http://www.justin.tv/directory/sports

I am in Alabama so hockey is hard to come by here.I have tried other sites to find streaming hockey but this site seems to have a nice variety of games and quality streams for those looking for games.

Again, sorry if this is not allowed but if you guys are interested, this site is nice for some streaming hockey games.

To be honest, I've never reall liked the quality on the justin.tv streams. Most of the time I prefer the sopcast streams.

Haven't tried ATDHE though.

Seems to be better quality than CBC tonight. I'm not sure what's going on with the sound though tonight. Only coming out of the left side for me on this feed.

Any idea if it's possible to change the aspect ratio of the video?

arh ok thanks anyway. I got a widescreen mon too... but having the video on fullscreen is abit choppy... my computer and video card are too old I think.

The ATDHE feeds are the best quality by far out of the all the links posted above... it's probably from HD feeds I guess??

Thank you for sharing these links. I've personally used justin.tv before, but many of these other sites offer better quality feeds, or links to better quality feeds for many sports. Between these options, you can usually find what you're looking for at a very respectable quality.

Thanks again, guys.

Of course not normal.... you should open up TWO streaming feeds of hockey games!!!!! :)

My comp is too old, I get some screen lag even with just 1 streaming feed. But I've done opening up 2 of those ADTHE feeds in my gf's comp (bought hers new few months ago)..... so sweet

Yeah it's all fixed. I got the latest version and everything else plays like Youtube, metacafe, etc.

I dont' have Sopcast... but here's a comparison with a feed from ATDHE & Justintv. Justintv feed quality can vary alot, but this one seems quite typical. The official feeds from CBC/TSN aren't much better than this particular JustinTV feed I think. And then the ATDHE feed.... just sweet, no comparison!

I never said that, but whatever your pausing problem is is beyond my knowledge to diagnose.

I don't have that problem watching the game on Sopcast.

Sopcast plays video through either Windows Media Player or VLC, which is entirely separate from Flash.

Here's a good test. Can you play the streams from Justin.tv alright? If you can, then it's something else. If you can't then I bet that pausing issue (which I recall suspecting was an issue with buffering) is causing a worse problem when the movie in question is from a stream.

The good news is I finally got the feed from atdhe.net to load. The bad news is that it kept lagging here and there from time to time like most of the stuff I view. I tried justin.tv as well and it was the same result Hamsterkill. So it's a streaming/buffering issue?

Yeah, it sounds like you're gonna have that with whatever flash movie you try to play. If I knew more in depth how flash worked I might be able to tell you why...

Why don't you try getting in touch with adobe's tech support for flash player? That's about all I can recommend here.

No prob, it wasn't in the thread. We had a PM going back on forth on this a few weeks back. Technically speaking, different browsers shouldn't matter (since it all goes to the same backend), but it's a fair question I suppose. I've seen stranger things fix problems before.

This may be a stupid idea here, but I throw it out anyways...could it be an add on you have installed Pete? Sometimes certain things wouldnt work right for me if installed something. Once I figured out which add on was giving me problems I uninstalled it and everything worked again. Like I said could be a stupid idea, but at this point you are probably up for any idea.

They have that feature on Gamecenter (on NHL.com), but you have to pay for that. It's what I use along with ATDHE.net. You can watch all live games that aren't on TV Blackout (which is when I use ATDHE) and any game that has already been played this year and last. Along with chats, a stat tracker and whatnot I am enjoying it.

I will likely stick with just ATDHE next year since it's free, but gamecenter live is pretty nice.

It's a false positive (Avira I'm guessing?). Looking around the net, it seems Avira and AntiVir are the only ones detecting this and they're pretty notorious for false positives. I use NOD32 and get nothing identified from the site or the streams.
