Welcome to HockeyInformer Forums.

In order to answer your fantasy hockey questions it is important to have as much information as possible. Please give the details of your league including scoring format(head to head, points, roto), statistical categories, league size and your roster. The easiest way to do this is in your signature, the second post in this thread will give you instructions on how to do this.

At the top of this forum you will find stickied threads that are fantasy hockey tools. They include injury reports, the latest news on daily goalie starts, and draft day tools. The answer to most of your injury, goalie or roster questions are found there. The information in those threads are maintained by forum posters, if you use that info elsewhere respect the work of the posters and give them credit.

We also encourage you to use the search function to find answers you may need, chances are someone else had the same question.

The Fantasy Hockey Forum is dedicated to fantasy issues only. Hockey related issues belong in the NHL discussion thread. Please be conscious of the nature of your threads and put them in the appropriate forum.

If you post a thread and have information to add, please avoid clutter by adding the info to your existing thread rather than starting a new one.

Please conduct yourself in a respectable manner on this forum.

Members are encouraged to help out and provide feedback to help improve the enjoyment of HockeyInformer forums.

When posting a question it is helpful to provide the following info in order to get the best possible answers or suggestions from the community.

1) Size and Type of League (How many teams, Head to Head, Keeper)
2) Scoring Categories (Goals, Assists etc.)
3) Roster(s)

Some posters choose to have their fantasy teams in their signatures but it is not necessary. People that have more than one team are more likely to mislead readers about which team the question pertains. It is much simpler to use this link when requesting assistance for a certain roster. Simply bookmark the "bookmarklet". I prefer #1. Go to the Y! team you want to post and open the bookmark. The team will come up on a clipboard - press OK. Navigate to the post you where you wish to copy it, right click and paste. It will also post other teams rosters which could be helpful if you are asking for trade advice.

* Hockey Informer has implemented a code tag. This will shrink your team(s) into a neat little button in your signature. Its pretty simple to use and helps save tons of space on the boards. If you wrap your team in this code
{spoiler} MY TEAM {/spoiler}
Your team will now be accessible at the click of a button. You must use the [square brackets]

[spoiler]MY TEAM

Thanks for using this awesome feature when applicable. Our members will definitely appreciate it.

Just to clarify when posting information on goalie starts and other news.

IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OK to re-post premium content from another site nor information on how to access premium content without payment.

As of the time of this post, we have had no such problem here but do not want it to start. Please cite your specific source and provide a link if possible. The people that get this information should be credited for their work. Sites that charge for their content do so for a reason and we will not accept any poster undermining them on our forums.
