Briere could get wing eligibility...and is less of an Injury risk.
Gaborik has the potential to score 50 goals...
Tough call...but if Briere gets the wing eligibility...i like him more.
If Gaborik gets traded to an offencive minded team....i like him more.

Briere easily for me, as I am not a big risk taker. Gabby had his one essentially injury-free season last year in how many seasons?
Briere is playing with Richards and Gagne, should get RW eligibility and have a better (injury free hopefully) season.
Edit: If goals were worth more this would be worth it, but since they are the same as A's then pass on this deal unless your a risk taker.

Briere for me too. Owning Gabby is just asking for trouble.

Briere is getting old, so I consider the injury risk even. Gabby is much more talented, and may develop chemistry with PMB this year.

He turned 31 yesterday.... I wouldn't classify that as old.

Maybe he's not old, but the injuries are starting to come more frequently.

Briere's still in his prime, his age shouldn't make him an injury concern. Points only, Briere is probably the way to go. I voted Gaborik based on his G:A numbers compared to Briere. The two really are close.

Day-to-day means nothing there, that's kind of repetitive. As for the surgery, it's been more than two and a half years since then and he's missed 4 games in two seasons. Hardly concerning in my opinion.

I see SHP's are worth 3.... pretty sure Gabby doesn't play PK at all, but does Briere? This might also give the edge to Danny boy.

Gaborik for me the season he plays 70 games is the season I want him and you'll never have that if he's not on your team.
Yet he has frustrating groin problems but it's not foresberg level frustration
I really can't prepare an arguement for Briere over Gabby other than the injury reasons. And since they are unpredictable.. I'll take Gabby no problem.
Gabby. if he plays 75+ games he outpoints Briere easy imo.

Gabby's highest point total in a season: 83
Briere's highest point total: 95
Need anymore reasons if the injuries aren't enough?
Now that Briere has better line mates then he did with his career high, could he crack 100? He has a better shot on a offensive team like Philly than Gabby does on a defensive minded Minny.

Briere. He's playing with Richards and Gagne and should get RW eligibility rather quickly considering it's a high-profile line. He isn't injury prone, nor old. Gaborik is a sick player, but coming from someone who has owned him twice, he is a pain in the ass to deal with because of his injury concerns. He had a relatively healthy season last year, but it's not like he scored 100 points or anything.
due to injury concerns i say briere
