LOS ANGELES (AP) - Kobe Bryant (http://tsn.ca/nba/player_bio.asp?player_id=51) asked to be traded from the Lakers on Wednesday, a day after calling the team's front office "a mess." He said there was nothing the Lakers could do to change his mind.
"I would like to be traded, yeah," Bryant told ESPN radio. "Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there's no other alternative."

I heard him talking with Stephen A. Smith. I also heard him talking to Dan Patrick a few hours later saying that he changed his mind after talking to Phil Jackson.

I agree that Kobe is a bitch but, once your penis is firmly implanted in a chick's asshole, all bets are off.

What douche Kobe is, one min he's on ESPN saying he wants out & wants nothing to do with the Lakers ever again, & nothing can change his mind, he's sick of how things are run, then he's on again like two Hr's later after talking with Jackson saying he wants to stay, & the Lakers are "his" team, that he wants to retire a Laker, he could never see himself playing for another team yada, yada, yada, what joke, I have never been a Kobe fan, but now I hate him even more, he's right up there with A-Rod now in my books.

You hate Kobe and A-Rod?? What did they ever do to you?? I find it funny when people hate others that they have never met.

If the slippery slope fits, wear it. In other words, if hating those people makes you feel better about yourself, go for it.

I understand the point you're making, but you don't hate anybody that you don't know?
I definitely can say I hate some people I don't know, some maybe for unfair reasons...Just my nature I guess.

There's more than that reason to hate the Dixie Chicks :)
I'm not personally a hater, but I hightly doubt that comment is the sole motivator for Dixie-hatin'
I personally hate ACTIONS, and I would have to lump Vince Carter's actions as worse than anything A-Rod has done or anything Kobe has done (involving basketball at least).
Now that may seem biased as a Toronto native, but I don't give two turds about basketball, but the story behind the Carter situation would astound any who don't know the details. Fact is, if he'd put in half an effort, many different things would have happened. First, the team would have made the playoffs, second they could have gotten something of value for him considering he was top 5 in the NBA when trying, third they wouldn't have ended up picking up $10 million of salary from a guy who never saw the court for the Raps, and finally it's just shameful that he was putting up 15 ppg then overnight started putting up over 30. I have never seen an athlete completely crap out on a team like Carter, a top 5 in the sport playing like a top 255 and end up losing all trade value and single-handedly knocking his team out of the playoffs while being paid top dollar.....if there's an example out there that tops it, I'd like to hear it and am totally open, but from my experiences, he's the worst.

Agreed. He also has another thing coming if he thinks that the grass is greener. Sure, the Lakers could have packaged Bynum and gotten Kidd at the deadline but any team that trades for Kobe is going to have to give up the farm. Take Chicago. By all measures, they are close to challenging in the East. If they give up 3 of their best young players for Kobe, they will be in the same boat as the Lakers.
